Jim McAfee has been described as the Sherlock Holmes of Nutrition. His investigations throw light on the causes and contributions to the epidemic of degenerative diseases that plague the lives of so many today.
Jim McAfee is one of the nation’s leading Clinical Nutritionists (1991)and a member of the Scientific Council of the International and American Associations of Clinical Nutritionists (2005). He has worked as Director of Nutritional Research for Image Awareness Wellness Institute since 1974. Jim became a member of GNLD's Health Professional's Council in 2006.
Jim graduated Summa Cum Laude and valedictorian from Westmont College and Magna Cum Laude from Dallas Theological Seminary. His graduate dissertation was on the subject of fasting. This involved research at the Natural Hygiene School in San Antonio where at that time more fasts had been supervised than anywhere else in the world.
As a speaker Jim is mesmerizing. He is always on top of the most current nutritional information, but presents nutrition concepts in an entertaining manner. Audiences acknowledge Jim as one of the most articulate advocates for sound nutrition in America today. He has been a guest speaker for hundreds of groups as well as appearing on numerous radio & television shows. Tens of thousands of people around the world have read his books, newsletters, or listened to his audiotapes or cds.
